The Maximus Story
It all started in July 2020 when our 8-year-old son Maximus came to us with a very well-researched proposal (thanks to way too many YouTube videos) about starting a Pokémon card collection. His excitement was contagious — literally. The first time we walked into GameStop during a BOGO sale, Maximus had strangers sitting on the floor opening cards with him.
That energy never left us. My wife Yanna (aka Sexy Mama) and I fell in love with the idea instantly, and by October 2020, Maximus Collectibles was born. I've started, managed, and sold businesses my whole life — I was 44 at the time — but nothing ever excited me like this. We run our business under a simple mindset: God, family, business. Everything else follows from that.
The Madabelia Story
In 2021, James started Madabelia Collectibles, named after his three daughters — Madison (8), Annabelle (6), and Amelia (4). What began as a way to bond with his girls over Pokémon cards and video games quickly grew into something much bigger. James started doing live breaks with his oldest daughter Madison — known to their community as "Hot Hands" — and she won the hearts of everyone who tuned in.
Madabelia was built on five core principals: family values, trust, honesty, transparency, and customer satisfaction. Those values drove every decision, and the community they built reflects exactly that.
Together Under One Banner
Today, both families operate together under the Maximus Collectibles name, bringing everything that made each business special into one place. We offer sealed Pokémon products, collectibles, trading card games, and live breaks — all delivered with the same heart and hustle that started this whole journey.
